John and Campo Visit Lipa Factory


Chairman and CEO John Miller and Technical DirectorCampo Van Beek paid a mid-year visit to Lipa Factory on June 30. Welcoming them were Factory Manager Noel Lonzanida and the

entire Management Committee of the factory. John and Campo maximized their half-day visit to the factory by walking through Gemba, meeting with several people, touring the plant, looking at review rooms, and conferring with factory management. John also addressed the participants in the two-week international Total Performance Management (TPM) Course being held at the factory.

During the Gemba walk, John and Campo seized the chance to meet and talk with the people powering the strong performance of Lipa. They stopped by the Technical Store Office, the MCC
Production Area where the TPM Pilot Lines and the Project Challenge Lines are located, the new MILO Warehouse, the Breakfast Cereals Production Area, and the new Social Block. Along the way, the two had the opportunity to speak with the factory associates, commending them for their excellent work and dedication to the vision of nurturing generations of Filipino families.

John and Campo also participated in the MILO Daily Operations Review, and walked through the BFC Daily Operations Review and Weekly Operations Review rooms, which were part of factory’s NCE Journey. They recognized the efforts of Lipa associates in Gemba by awarding personalized and signed Recognition Cards on the spot.

After walking through Gemba, John, Campo, and the factory management team proceeded to the Recreation Center where Noel presented the wins of Lipa Factory, as well as the results of the NCE Gate Re-assessment, which showed the factory improving its score from 80% to 86.7%. John then gave a business update and spoke about the successes and challenges across the Nestlé product portfolio. He acknowledged the unique contributions of the factory to the overall performance of the Company.


Soon after his talk, John opened the floor for a talakayan with the factory management.
